Earth has two main types of water: salty ocean water and fresh water we can drink.

Most of the water on our beautiful planet is salty, like the big, bubbly ocean. We cannot drink that! But don't worry, we have fresh water too! This is the kind we drink, bathe in, and use to water our plants. It hides in chilly glaciers, flows in wiggly rivers, and lives deep underground. Because fresh water is a little bit harder to find than salty water, it is like a special treasure we must always protect. Keeping our water clean helps everyone, from the tiniest fish to you!
